Valentine swap loveliness!

Moogsdad wandered up the rickety stairs to his beloved wife's sickbed this morning bearing a parcel handed to him by postie.

Inside was a very pretty parcel wrapped in a fat quarter of gorgeous Moda fabric from my swap partner Carey at Blueberry Lane Designs.

The photos aren't great as I photographed them on the very sickbed in which I lay- suffering from the worst headcold anyone has ever had - ever......ever!

The parcel contained a beautiful bag, a length of ric-rac and another of bobble braid, a pair of handbag handles and some gorgeous ceramic buttons plus that lovely Moda fabric.

Thank you Carey!!!!! I'll have to think of something really special to make with all those goodies. I'll use the time that I spend valiantly fighting this dreadful ailment to work on those ideas.

Now ....cough....splutter.....sniff.....I shall retire to the sofa and may even stitch something.......sniff............

Good haul!

Sorry you're feeling rotten though. I hope you are being well and truly left alone - for the sake of their own health I think the rest of the family should keep well away and leave you in peace (well, it's worth a shot!)

I feel your pain, Lesley, I have about the worst cold I've every had right now, too. My husband has been plying me with large tumblersfull of hot water laced with apple cider vinegar and honey. Ick.

It must have made you feel better to open your special parcel. I LOVE those buttons!

Feel better very soon.

Steady on there, MM, you're sounding a little like ..... dare I say it .... a man!

Gorgeous goodies from your Valentine's swap, I particularly like the buttons. And the bag. And the ric-rac. And the bobble braid ..... can you see where I'm going with this ....?

I hope you'll feel better soon, and I hope you're being waited on hand and foot this weekend.

Be brave.

:)

ps. I've heard that wine is an excellent medicine for colds .... yeah sure, it tastes slightly nasty if you have a sore throat .... but who cares??!

Lovely parcel to cheer you up on your sickbed Lesley. Sorry to hear you're poorly and hope you feel better soon. Have to agree with MM - the only real remedy is wine.

PS Thanks for The Vicar of Dibly link in your last post. I can't believe I'd not seen that before!

Then let's promise to not get sick until next year, huh?!!

That said, at least you had a fabtastic parcel of Valentine goodies to take your mind off things - got to be a good medicine. The bag is great, and I love the buttons, especially the yellow one... so sunny and happy... roll on springtime and flowers, I say. Soon, please. :o)
